The Galt House Hotel is the largest downtown meeting and convention hotel in the Southeast region. We are located adjacent to the KFC YUM! Center and walking distance to many restaurants and attractions in the downtown area. Our hotel features over 130,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, 1300 guest rooms, six restaurants and lounges, and much more.

The Galt House Hotel is currently looking for Pool Attendants who are interested in a part- time seasonal position with our hotel and are committed to providing the best possible experience for our guests.  The Pool attendant is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary pool area for the hotel guests and ensure that all safety equipment is present at and around the pool at all times. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and be flexible to work nights and weekends.

• Check to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
• Check and maintain the color chemistry, and clarity of the pool water. Troubleshoot any chemical imbalances.
• Complete opening, midday or closing checklist.
• Clean the pool by using the vacuum ensuring the pool and deck area are free from any debris.
• Responsible for ensuring guests are aware of the pool rules, and addressing the guests who are not in compliance of the rules.
• Maintain pool cleanliness, safety and guest relationships by taking hourly walks around the pool.
• Manage and greet all guests pleasantly and ensure efficient supply of fresh towels to guests.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Previous pool attendant/life guard experience preferred.
• Must be an excellent swimmer.
• Certification in Adult/Child and Infant CPR as well as First Aid preferred.
• Up-to-date Metro Board of Health Lifeguard or pool attendant certification preferred.
• Must be able to work seasonal period of Memorial Day through Labor Day.
• Great attitude and appearance.
• Must be attentive, personable and friendly and have good interpersonal skills to address any situations with guests. 
• Must be physically able to climb, lift, push, pull, walk frequently throughout shift and withstand high heat during the summer season.
