    The legendary Galt House Hotel, Kentucky's largest convention hotel, located right in the heart of Louisville, has over 1300 rooms and suites and over 130,000 square feet of meeting space, 6 restaurants and lounges and so much more.


    The Galt House Hotel is currently hiring a dynamic Director of Front Office Operations with proven leadership skills, who will oversee the supervision/management of the Front Desk, Concierge and Bell Stand to exceed customer satisfaction, quality service and compliance with corporate policies and procedures while meeting/exceeding financial goals.








    • Ensures all Front Office Operations reports and data are accurate and submitted on time.
    • Coordinates the organization and administrative functions in all areas of Front Office Operations.
    • Establish monthly reporting system to monitor; Key Performance Indicators, operational expenses, project updates and other related tasks.
    • Handles all guest complaints with a sense of urgency to complete resolution.
    • Participates in the monthly forecast of all room revenues and expenses.
    • Establishes ownership for the ongoing training requirements of Front Office Operations ensuring all staff is cross trained.
    • Responsible for coaching/counseling staff in regards to disciplinary issues, ensuring proper documentation is completed accurately and placed in employee file.              
    • Will conduct annual performance reviews of staff providing feedback on what areas of accomplishments, future goals and areas of improvement.
    • Ensures Front Office Operations conform with all local state and federal codes and regulations.
    • Will create strong rapport and impactful relationships with and between Guests, Corporate Leaders and Product Vendors.
    • Closely monitors on a daily, weekly and monthly basis the financial performance of all areas of Front Office Operations, in particular monitoring all payroll and expenses to ensure they are kept in line with the budget.  Provide solutions to improve problem areas and assisting in implementing corrective measures.
    • Oversee Front Office candidate selection and staffing by conducting interviews.
    • Responsible for scheduling staff to optimize financial performance.
    • Will work closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Catering and Sales to assure groups and special functions are handled smoothly.

    • Will participate in MOD program.
    • Will be responsible for the Transportation Program.
    • Other duties as assigned.




    • Bachelor's Degree in related Field desired
    • Outstanding customer service and guest relations skills
    • Minimum 5 years Front Office Management experience working at a property with a minimum of 500 rooms
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel
    • Experience in effectively training and developing staff
    • Clear understanding of Front Office Operations policy and procedures
    • Must have strong budgetary, projections and cost control skills
    • Proven positive and strong leadership skills
    • Effective problem resolution skills
    • Assume responsibility and accountability for the decisions made
    • Must be able to execute and follow through with plans in a timely manner
