    The Galt House Hotel  - A legendary destination among hotels in the city.  The Galt House is the largest downtown meeting and convention hotel in the Southeast region and the only wanterfront hotel in Louisville.  We are located adjacent to the KFC YUM! Center and walking distance to many restaurants and attractions in the downtown area. Our hotel features over 130,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, 1300 guest rooms, six restaurants and lounges, and much more.     We are currently a seasoned IT Business Analyst has experience in both information technology and business administration. The IT Business Analyst will serve as the liaison between Operations and IT departments of our company, leveraging the data the IT team extrapolates while also overseeing the selection and implementation of software programs and hardware resources. The IT Business Analyst is responsible for translating business needs to IT solutions, and vice versa, with current programs, projects and initiatives in mind.


    • The primary role of the IT Business Anaylyst is to manage, develop and nurture partnerships with operations and IT.
    • Develop reports as needed and support the operational use of software applications including managing vendor issue tracking.  
    • Partner with IT to ensure each project meets a specific need and resolves successfully. 
    • Work in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols.
    • Identify and resolves readily identifiable, clearly-defined problems.
    • Continually target and prospect for new business IT operations through creativity and innovation. 
    • Gather information from managers about needs and future growth opportunities.  
    • Act as liaison to vendors to clearly document business requirements and ensure communication between 3rd parties.  
    • Understand, manage and support interfaces between on-premise software applications as well as hosted solutions.  
    • Assume responsibility for project tasks and ensure they are completed in a timely fashion.
    • Evaluate, test and recommend new opportunities for enhancing our software, hardware and IT processes.
    • Compile and distribute reports on application development and deployment.  
    • Design, execute, and test procedures to extract data from test runs. 
    • Evaluate and draw conclusions from data related to customer behavior. 
    • Consult with the Operations Team and the IT department on the newest technology and its implications in the hospitality industry. 
    • Ability to lead project team. 
    • Must manage organizational change productively by driving continuous improvement, building support for change, and adapting to change. 
    • Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain a guest service focused culture in a long-term, consistent manner. 
    • Ability to create strategic goals, property goals and individual goals to ensure success. 
    • Support and reinforce the brand in all activities. 


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Software Development, Computer Engineering, Project Management or related field
    • Minimum three years’ experience in information technology.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
    • Use of company-specific IT tools and databases
    • Sharp and articulate presentation skills
    • Positive and professional attitude at all times.
    • Ability to work with all levels of management.
    • Ability to meet deadlines in fast paced environment
    • Highly strategic in perspective and decision making.
    • Experience with SQL scripting.
    •  Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
    • Strong organizational and relationship management skills.
    • Role model of hospitality; contributing to a positive department and company culture.
    • Proven abilities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.

    This is a full-time exempt position with expectation to work normal business hours to ensure business needs are met during the operation of the department. Hours outside of the normal business hours may be necessary when completing a project, timely reporting, or other assigned duties.  Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, work flexible hours if needed included some evenings and weekends.
