    The Galt House Hotel  - A legendary destination among hotels in the city.  The Galt House is the largest downtown meeting and convention hotel in the Southeast region and the only wanterfront hotel in Louisville.  We are located adjacent to the KFC YUM! Center and walking distance to many restaurants and attractions in the downtown area. Our hotel features over 130,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, 1300 guest rooms, six restaurants and lounges, and much more.     We are looking to hire an Office Coordinator who is detail oriented, organized, displays exceptional customer service skills and has proficient computer skills. The Housekeeping Office Coordinator will be responsible for assigning daily tasks to our Room Attendants and Supervisors and will distribute VIP information to our House Persons. The Coordinator will also be responsible for managing the daily operation of the Housekeeping office.  Will respond to guest calls and delegate requests to relevant colleagues within the Housekeeping department.  Will also be responsible for various payroll duties, assist with inspecting guest rooms, inventory control, ordering supplies and linen for the department.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service to external and internal guests
    • Coordinate administrative support to all areas of the Housekeeping department
    • Consistently maintain daily associate payroll
    • Work closely with all departments within the Rooms Division, communicating regular updates and changes
    • Oversee the daily operation of the Housekeeping office
    • Maintain all sssociates' records within the Housekeeping department
    • Maintain the security of all room keys and locks
    • Ensure all guest requests are actioned in a timely manner
    • Ensure housekeeping guest amenities and supplies are well stocked maintaining proper inventory par levels and ordering supplies as needed
    • Comply with all department policies, procedures, and service standards
    • Follow and proactively promote all health and safety policies and initiatives
    • Inspect rooms if needed
    • Other reasonable duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Previous relevant experience an asset (e.g. housekeeping and/or administration within a hotel environment)
    • Able to pull, push and lift moderate weight
    • Proven ability to efficiently delegate tasks amongst colleagues and leaders
    • Good computer literacy, experience using Property Management Systems, Opera, HotSOS, Rex, Birchstreet, and Timesaver (payroll) preferred.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
    • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
    • Good communication skills
    • Bilingual, Spanish / English preferred but not required
    • Highly responsible and reliable, demonstrating initiative as required
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, team-based environment
