    Currently hiring an established Director of Hotel Operations who will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the hotel. Will work closely with the Hotel General Manager to set high expectations of achieving hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, fostering the professional development of staff, creating and maintaining memorable guest experiences, while supporting the Galt House Hotel’s vision, mission, goals and objectives.



    • Functions as the strategic business leader of the property's hotel operations by managing revenue, room inventory and occupancy percentage in accordance with budget.
    • Reviews reports and financial statements to determine hotel operations performance against budget.
    • Coaches and supports operations team to effectively manage occupancy & rate, wages and controllable expenses.
    • Reviews the Wage Report and compares budgeted wages to actual wages, coaching direct reports to address problem areas and holding team accountable for results.
    • Maintain labor and operating budgets for all departments reporting to position.
    • Establish efficient productivity through assistance from department managers and supervisors.
    • Prepare a yearly budget for department in accordance with Company guidelines
    • Maintain departmental staffing levels in accordance with Company guidelines.
    • Verifies that property policies are administered fairly and consistently, disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Conducts annual performance appraisal with direct reports according to Standard Operating Procedures
    • Works with direct reports (e.g., department heads) to develop and implement departmental strategies and manage the implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives.
    • Develops and implements property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of hotel guests and employees and provides a return on investment.
    • Champions the brand’s service vision for product and service delivery and ensures alignment amongst the hotel leadership teams.
    • Develops systems to enable employees to understand guest satisfaction results.
    • Communicates a clear and consistent message regarding departmental goals to produce desired results.
    • Champions change, manages the implementation of brand initiatives and communicates follow-up actions to team as necessary.
    • Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.



    • 3 to 5 years of progressive hotel management experience in a 500+ room property
    • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration or Business Administration
    • Ability to balance the needs of the operation, administration and colleagues.
    • Strong leadership skills to effectively train, teach and motivate a team to achieve high level of performance and exceeds targets.
    • Ability to identify guest needs and respond proactively to their concerns.
    • Develop and administer hotel budgets and produce forecasts.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Role model of hospitality; contributing to a positive department and company culture.
